A connection apparatus includes a first flange member having a non-smooth face and a threaded coupling; and a second flange member having a non-smooth face which mates with the non-smooth face of the first flange member and a threaded coupling which mates with the threaded coupling of the first flange member. Preferably, the non-smooth face of one flange member has a projection or projections which mates or mate with a corresponding indentation or indentations on the non-smooth face of the other flange member. The flange members can have a cross-tooth faces, for example. Preferably, there is a locking member for locking the first flange member to the second flange member to help reduce rotational movement of the first flange member with respect to the second flange member.
