The present invention addresses the problem of providing a microparticle measurement device which is capable of measuring an optical characteristic of a plurality of microparticles simultaneously and quickly. In this microparticle measurement device, a sample flows through flow channels of a multi flow channel (14), and light irradiates a prescribed linear region. Then, measurement light (object light), such as scattered light or fluorescent light, generated from microparticles in the sample is collimated by an objective lens (16) and is transmitted by a first transmitting part (181) and a second transmitting part (182). The light transmitted by both transmitting parts is collected on the same straight line by a cylindrical lens (20) as first measurement light and second measurement light respectively, and the interference light intensity of the first and second measurement light is detected by a detector (22). Meanwhile, light which is from a light source and has been transmitted by the multi flow channel (22) without coming into contact with the microparticles in the sample is incident on a non-transmitting part (30) via the objective lens (16) and does not approach the cylindrical lens. Consequently, only the interference light of the measurement light is incident on the detector (22), and therefore the interference light intensity of the measurement light can be measured accurately. |
