<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for recording an image. More particularly, the apparatus for recording an event image controls a photographing action of a camera according to proximity sensing and impact sensing of an object (e.g. a vehicle, a person, a thing, a stone, etc.), and stores a photographed image of the camera before an event occurs. The method of the present invention comprises the steps of: monitoring proximity sensing of an object; driving a camera when the proximity of the object is sensed as a result of monitoring the proximity sensing; temporarily storing first image data which is continuously photographed by the driven camera; monitoring whether the impact is sensed or not in a predetermined time in a state that the proximity of the object has been sensed; and storing the first image data which is temporarily stored, and second image data which is continuously photographed and temporarily stored when the impact is sensed as a result of monitoring the impact sensing.</p> |
