A heat-sensitive recording layer provided on a supporting body contains this heat-sensitive recording material which is mainly composed of a chromogenic compound that is usually colorless or pale-colored, a developer compound that is capable of causing the chromogenic compound to develop a color when heated, and a sensitizer. According to the present invention, the heat-sensitive recording material contains bis(3-allyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)sulfone having α-form crystals and bis(p-allyloxyphenyl)sulfone at a weight ratio of from 7:3 to 6:4.
