Provided are a method and an apparatus for receiving and sending information. The method for receiving information comprises: a station (STA) receives orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) data from a wireless access point (AP) in a continuous transmit opportunity (TXOP) stage, part of data frames in the OFDMA data carrying conventional physical layer preambles; and during reception of the OFDMA data, the STA works in an OFDMA reception mode when the STA receives a data frame not carrying the conventional physical layer preamble, determines a data frame carrying the conventional physical layer preamble according to a preset rule, and switches from the OFDMA reception mode to an OFDM reception mode to receive a data frame carrying the conventional physical layer preamble. |
