Provided is an MBMS control method comprising: a step in which an eNB (200) that is included in a network uses a predetermined signal that can be received by a UE in an RRC idle state to transmit an MBMS count request for counting UEs (100) that are receiving an MBMS service or that are interested in receiving the MBMS service; a step in which an MBMS-compatible UE (100) that supports MBMS reception and that is in the RRC idle state receives the MBMS count request that is transmitted using the predetermined signal; and a step in which the MBMS-compatible UE (100) performs a predetermined operation for transmitting an MBMS count response on the basis of the received MBMS count request.
