The present invention addresses the problem of shortening a time needed to start up a second communication unit. A communication device (1) of the present invention is provided with a first communication unit (2), and a second communication unit (3). The first communication unit (2) has a first wireless unit (22) that transmits/receives first wireless signals having radiowaves as a medium. The second communication unit (3) has a second wireless unit (32) that transmits/receives second wireless signals having radiowaves as a medium. The first communication unit (2) is configured such that the first communication unit pre-starts up at least a part of the second communication unit (3), said part excluding the second wireless unit (32), when the first communication unit receives signals from the outside in a state wherein the second communication unit (3) has not been started up.
