Provided are an antiviral composition, an antiviral agent and a photocatalyst, said antiviral composition, antiviral agent and photocatalyst being capable of exhibiting excellent antiviral properties within a short period of time in both light and dark places, and a virus inactivation method. The antiviral composition according to the present invention comprises an inorganic compound carrying BiVO4 and a divalent copper compound. The virus inactivation method according to the present invention comprises inactivating a virus using the antiviral composition according to the present invention, the antiviral agent according to the present invention or the photocatalyst according to the present invention.
