In this gas flow-rate measurement system, to compute branch flow rates for a gas flowing through each of n (n being an integer greater than or equal to 2) second pipes on the basis of a principal flow rate for said gas flowing through a first pipe that is connected to a gas supply source and measurement information from measurement nodes set up outside the respective second pipes, which supply the gas from the first pipe to a plurality of sites, the acquisition of the principal flow rate and the measurements performed by the measurement nodes are performed simultaneously under n or more different gas-supply conditions, n or more pieces of measurement information each pertaining to the amount of heat required to change the temperature of the corresponding second pipe by ΔT°C are collected from the respective measurement nodes, and the n or more principal flow rates and pieces of measurement information are used to solve the equations Ji = Qi∗ki (for each integer i from 1 to n) and J0 = ΣJi, with J0 representing the principal flow rate, Ji representing the branch flow rate for the ith second pipe, Qi representing the abovementioned amount of heat for the ith second pipe, and ki representing a pipe coefficient for the ith second pipe, so as to determine said pipe coefficients (ki) and the branch flow rate for each second pipe. |
