The present invention involves a ribbon spring (10) in which an other end opening part (15), which faces the edge of an other end (10b), is provided at the other end (10b) in the longitudinal direction, said ribbon spring being formed in a ring shape by rolling up a one end sprag-accommodating hole (11a), which is the sprag-accommodating hole (11) positioned closest to one end (10a), to the one end (10a) in the longitudinal direction such that the one end sprag-accommodating hole (11a) of the one end (10a) is positioned on the inner diameter side in the longitudinal direction, and the other end opening (15) of the other end (10b) is positioned on the outer diameter side in the longitudinal direction. The present invention further involves a sprag one-way clutch provided with the ribbon spring (10). The moment that all of the sprags (4) are subjected to is thus stabilized, providing uniformity to the performance of the clutch in circumferential direction. |
