An electromagnetic valve (1) according to one embodiment includes a driven member (40) configured such that a piston (46) and a valve element are vertically coupled with each other and configured such that a pilot passage (50) runs through the driven member (40). Here, the piston (46) separates a high-pressure chamber (64), which communicates with a lead-in port (14), from a back pressure chamber (66). The valve element opens and closes a main valve (6) by moving toward and away from a valve hole. The pilot passage (50) communicates between a low-pressure chamber (65), which communicates with a lead-out port (18), and the back pressure chamber (66). A communicating path (74), through which the high-pressure chamber (64) and the back pressure chamber (66) communicate with each other, is formed in the piston (46). The communicating path (74) is formed such that an orifice (142), which is open to the back pressure chamber (66), and a communication hole (144), having a larger cross section than that of the orifice (142), are vertically connected with each other. The orifice (142) is located above the communication hole (144). |
