Row-independent auxiliary device for harvesting stalk crops

The front attachment (1) has harvesting devices for harvesting the stalk crop. An intake conveyor mechanisms (28) extends across a width of the harvesting devices. The snapping devices (2) is located downstream of the intake conveyor mechanisms in the direction of the crop flow. The cross conveyor (3) is located downstream of the intake conveyor mechanisms and snapping devices. The cross conveyor and snapping device are driven by a common drive train (35). The drive train (36) is retrofitted to function as the drive for retrofittable chopping device (4).
