[Class 40 (ii)] In a sound recorder or reproducer in which a turntable is driven by a motor through the intermediary of a friction-wheel, the wheel is mounted so that it is readily removable from the motor-board. As shown, the bearing assembly for the friction-wheel 12 comprises washers 16, 17 spaced apart by a washer 18 to form a peripheral groove. To mount the assembly on the motor-board, the assembly is inserted in the larger aperture 21 of a key-hole slot 20 in the motor-board and then moved into the smaller aperture 22 with the edge of the motor-board located in the groove between the washers 16, 17. The washer 16 is anchored to the motor-board through a spring 24, the aperture 22 being of such a size that freedom of movement of the bearing assembly is permitted when in position on the board.
