<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lathe allowing a workpiece to be easily attached/detached to/from a chuck provided on a spindle from a position opposing the chuck in the Z-axis direction. <P>SOLUTION: The lathe is rotatably provided with a spindle 9 having a chuck 7 capable of freely holding a workpiece, and rotatably provided with a plurality of tool turrets 11L, 11R having a plurality of working tools 37 for cutting the workpiece held by the chuck 7 being provided therearound. The tool turrets 11L, 11R are provided on tool rests 13 provided on both sides in the X-axis direction of the headstock 5 rotatably supporting the spindle 9, the tool turrets 11L, 11R being movable in the Z-axis direction parallel to the center axis of the spindle 9, the Y-axis direction which is the vertical direction, and the X-axis direction orthogonal to the Z-axis direction and the Y-axis direction. The tailstock 39 provided opposite to the spindle 9 is attachably/detachably provided on the lathe, and a supporting stand 63 supporting a workpiece supporting member 61 capable of freely supporting the workpiece in the tailstock 39 is provided movably in the diagonally vertical direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
