A laser monitoring method is provided in which a laser light L is irradiated while scanning in a horizontal direction and in a vertical direction of a monitoring range S, reflected light R of the laser light L is received and received light information d8 is obtained, distance information d9 of a target object M within the monitoring range S is calculated from the received light information d8, and an intended target object M is detected from the distance information d9.
