<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a performance of read/write access to a disc.SOLUTION: A controller manages a first volume format LDEV in which each distribution user data area and each distribution control information area among a plurality of distribution user data areas for storing a data part and a plurality of distribution control information areas for storing a control information part are change objects in a volume, and further the controller manages a second volume format LDEV which groups one distributed user data area and one distributed control information area as one group, and plurally includes the group, in which each group is a volume expansion unit on an actual storage area. When receiving a request for accessing the data part belonging to the first volume format LDEV, the controller converts a data address of the data part belonging to the first volume format LDEV to a data address of the data part belonging to the second volume format LDEV, and executes an input/output process to the data part.</p> |
