According to an embodiment of the present invention, an UHF RFID tag (ultra-high frequency radio frequency identification tag) comprises: an RF detector which determines whether wireless signals transmitted from an UHF R/W device (ultra-high frequency read/write device) includes a request command for starting an RF communication and generates a wake-up signal in accordance with the result of the determination; a serial interface which is cable connected to a host processor which is awakened in accordance with the wake-up signals and receives host device data from the host processor; and a tag IC which wirelessly transmits the host device data to the UHF R/W device.
