PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery system which can obtain high output while cutting back costs and restraining shortage in output, and an operation method thereof.SOLUTION: In a fuel battery system, fuel gas and oxygen gas are supplied to a fuel battery composed of a plurality of cells, and these fuel gas and oxygen gas are electrochemically reacted in the cells to generate electricity. Humidification amount adjustment control is exerted in which a resistance value of the fuel battery at high output time higher than a predetermined output is calculated from the impedance and the load current of the fuel battery, and the humidification amount in the catalyst layer of the cells at the high output time is controlled on the basis of the calculated resistance value. |
