An apparatus and associated method of providing an image sensor with improved image quality, the apparatus comprising: an image sensor 31; and an infra-red filter 11; wherein the IR filter is positioned in close proximity to the image sensor 31 to minimise the distance between a first image 23 and an unwanted second image 25 which is caused by reflection from the IR filter. By reducing the distance between the image sensor and the IR filter, the distance between the first and second images is reduced. The second image may overlap with the first image thereby reducing its visibility and improving the quality of the image. |
