<p>The present invention relates to a vodka spirit drink produced from a raw material comprising apples. Preferably the raw material contains only apples. In another embodiment is a method of producing a vodka spirit drink comprising juicing apples to produce apple juice, adding yeast to the apple juice mixture and leaving to ferment, separating the apple wine produced by the fermentation process and distilling the apple wine to produce a distilled ethanol product. The distillation process is repeated until the desired ethanol content is reached, the product filtered and diluted with water to produce vodka with the required alcoholic strength. Vodka prepared in this way may have a different taste to apple flavoured vodka wherein apple flavourings are added to vodka produced from cereals and/or potatoes.</p> |
