PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rejecting device advantageous for stabilizing a position of an article to be rejected.SOLUTION: The rejecting device R rejects the article conveyed on a conveying passage by conveyers 10, 12. The rejecting device includes: a roller 30; a first drive mechanism 40 which drives the roller 30 so that the roller 30 rotates around its central axis; a support member 50 which supports the roller 30 and the first drive mechanism 40; and a second drive mechanism 60 which drives the support member 50 so as to reject the article 1 from the conveying passage 16 by making the roller 30 intrude in the conveying passage 16 and collide with the article 1. The first drive mechanism 40 drives the roller 30 to rotate the roller 30 at least at the moment when the roller 30 collides with the article 1. |
