<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle meter which saves a cost by sharing components, and has a way of lighting capable of corresponding to each liquid crystal panel even if kinds of the liquid crystal panels are changed. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal panel 2 is installed on a surface side of a printed circuit board 14 by a panel-shaped installing member 3 so as to keep an interval from the printed circuit board 14. A lighting space S is formed between the printed circuit board 14, the liquid crystal panel 2, and the installing member 3. The printed circuit board 14 is provided with a first installing portion 14a for installing a low luminance LED 7 and a second installing portion 14b for installing a high luminance LED 8. The installing member 3 is provided with a first inner wall portion 33 for cutting off first light L1 in a direction generally orthogonal to the liquid crystal panel 2 of light emitted from the low luminance LED 7, and a bridge portion 35 for reflecting and diffusing, to the liquid crystal panel 2, second light L2 and L5 in a direction generally along the liquid crystal panel 2 of the light emitted from the low luminance LED 7.
