<p>Disclosed is a user authentication system and an authentication method using a grid pattern. The user authentication system comprises: an authentication server for randomly determining an input array within the grid pattern and providing to a first user device, and upon receiving a password entered by a user and password input position information from a second user device, determining whether the password and the input position received from the second user device are matched to a user′s registered password and the input array and thereby, performing authentication; the first user device for displaying input array information provided from the authentication server on an authentication app screen; and the second user device for displaying a grid-patterned input region on a payment screen, and when a user enters a password on the input region, transmitting the inputted password and the password input position information to the authentication server.</p> |
