<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting container lightweight and free from becoming bulky, and excellent in transportability and storageability, and to provide a rooftop greening system using the planting container. <P>SOLUTION: This planting container is formed so as to be in a box-like form by a bottom part 11 and at least three side wall parts 12 by a waterproof sheet material having shape recoverability and foldability, and includes a vertically long bag part 13 set on the inner surface of the side wall part 12 so as to vertically insert a stick-like material into.
