<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for producing hyaluronic acid. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a new method for producing the hyaluronic acid obtained by culturing STIP-2 cell (FERM BP-11274) which is a cell line originating from an iris pigment epithelial cell of an eyeball of bester, as one of the kinds of sturgeons, to allow the STIP-2 cell to produce the hyaluronic acid; and a culture supernatant of the STIP-2 cell containing the hyaluronic acid. The separation and purification of the hyaluronic acid from the culture supernatant is easily performed by precipitating the hyaluronic acid using, for example ethanol or the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
