<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication system, transmitter, and receiver for achieving an excellent error rate characteristic regardless of a propagation environment. <P>SOLUTION: A radio communications system has a transmitter and a receiver which communicate by using a multi-carrier signal having a plurality of pilot signals which are individually allocated in the time axis direction and the frequency axis direction. The receiver comprises: quality creation means for individually creating reception quality information on each pilot channel transmitting each pilot signal; determination means for determining the number of the pilot channels needed for the multi-carrier signal on the basis of each piece of reception quality information; and notification means for transmitting a signal requesting the determined number of pilot channels, to the transmitter. The transmitter comprises: allocation means for individually determining allocation of the pilot signals in the time axis direction and the frequency axis direction on the basis of the requested number of the pilot channels; and transmission means for transmitting the multi-carrier signal having the determined allocation of the pilot signals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
