<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a heat exchanger that warms water with the heat of an exhaust gas. <P>SOLUTION: A base body 13 includes a first member 24 connected to an exhaust gas lead-in port 37 and attached with a catalyst case 12 and a second member 25 disposed downstream to the first member 24 and joined to the first member 24. The base body 13 is a hollow structure serving also as an exhaust gas passage. The base body 13 composed of the first member 24 and the second member 25 joined thereto is the hollow structure serving also as the exhaust gas passage. The base body 13 for supporting a catalyst carrier 11 and cylinders 27 and 31 is used also as the exhaust gas passage. This eliminates the need of providing a separate exhaust gas passage on the periphery of the base body 13, and thus a heat exchanger 10 can be miniaturized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
