The present invention relates to an adjusting device for tightening or loosening a lace, comprising: a base having an accommodation space in communication with surroundings through two holes and having at least one stop member; a knob disposed to be rotated within the accommodation space and having a ring-shaped track corresponding to the two holes, and a plurality of ring-shaped gears; and a release unit disposed in the accommodation space and the knob to provide ascending or descending operations and having at least one resilient arm, a first limit unit, a second limit unit and an intermediate sliding unit disposed between the first and the second limit unit. When a preliminary force is applied, the intermediate sliding unit allows the stop member to pass through that location. When the stop member is positioned by means of the first limit unit, the release unit is positioned in a first location and the resilient arm is coupled to one among the ring-shaped gears. When the stop member is positioned by means of the second limit unit, the release unit is positioned in a second location and the resilient arm is separated from the ring-shaped gear. |
