The body is heated by a combustion fluid e.g. gas, in a combustion chamber (9) in an inner side of the housing. The body discharges infrared rays at a side (5) that faces a material web, where length of the radiator body is larger than distance between outer side surfaces (4a, 4b) of the side walls, in a heated condition.
