<p>The invention proceeds from a connecting device (10, 12), particularly an optical connecting device, having: a number m, not equal to 1, of N-fold plug elements (14a-c), each having n contact points (16a-c; 18a-c) with an unambiguously established order; a number, n not equal to 1, of M-fold plug elements (20a, b), each comprising m contact points (22a; 24a; 26a; 40b; 42b; 44b) with an unambiguously established order; and a number x=m*n of conducting paths (46). For any i from 1 to n, the i-th contact point (16a-c; 18a-c) of each N-fold plug element (14a-c) is connected to at least one contact point (22a; 24a; 26a; 40b; 42b; 44b) of the i-th M-fold plug element (20a, b) via one of the conductor paths (46), and for at least one of the M-fold plug elements (20a) and any j from 1 to m, the j-th contact point (22a; 24a; 26a) of the at least one M-fold plug element (20a) is connected to at least one contact point (16a-c; 18a-c) of the j-th N-fold plug element (14a-c) via at least one of the conducting paths (46).</p> |
