<p>The present invention relates to an LED driving device. The LED driving device is capable of preventing the ripple current congestion in an electrolytic capacitor due to the heat runaway of an LED even at a high temperature environment caused by the heat emission of the LED in the LED driving device including a switched-mode power supply (SMPS), thereby extending the service life of the SMPS to be equal to or longer than the service life of the LED. According to an aspect of the present invention, the LED driving device including the SMPS includes: a rectifying unit which rectifies the current to an output path of the SMPS; a current limiter which limits the current output from the rectifying unit to be within a predetermined size; and a smoothing unit which smoothes out the current output from the current limiter to supply power to the load. The current limiter limits the value of the current input from the rectifying unit not to exceed the maximum allowable ripple current value of the smoothing unit, and provides the current as an input to the smoothing unit. A floating prevention unit can be additionally arranged between an output terminal of the rectifying unit and an input terminal of the current limiter to prevent the output of the rectifying unit from floating when the current limiter is blocked.</p> |
