A camera device includes: an imaging unit taking image light to obtain a video signal; an output unit outputting the video signal obtained in the imaging unit to a connected cable; a detection unit detecting current variation or voltage variation of the video signal to be outputted from the output unit; and a control unit determining a control signal transmitted through the cable based on the signal variation detected by the detection unit and performing operation control corresponding to the determined control signal.

1. A signal processing device comprising:
an output unit that outputs a video signal obtained in an imaging unit to a connected cable; a detection unit that detects a variation in current or voltage of the video signal to be output from the output unit; and a control unit that determines a control signal transmitted through the connected cable based on the variation of the video signal detected by the detection unit and performs operation control corresponding to the control signal, wherein the output unit comprises a changeover switch for switching a signal obtained at the connected cable to a line to be supplied to the control unit based on the control signal, and the control unit directly performs communication with the outside through the connected cable by changing over the changeover switch.
