The backlight unit includes a first reflector, a second reflector, at least one light source module disposed between the first reflector and the second reflector, and a bottom cover including a bottom part supporting the second reflector and at least one side wall part inclined and extending from the bottom part.

a first reflector; a second reflector; at least one light source module between the first reflector and the second reflector; and a bottom cover comprising:
a bottom part to support the second reflector,at least one edge part extending in a first direction, the at least one light source module being disposed in the first direction along the at least one edge part, andat least one side wall part inclined and extending from the bottom part, the at least one side wall part extending from a front end of the at least one edge part in a second direction that is different from the first direction,wherein the light source module includes a semiconductor light emitting device.
