1. An electronic gaming machine comprising:
a housing; a first touch surface supported by the housing and configured to detect a touch by a person and receive an identifying signal through the person while the person is in contact with the first touch surface and also in contact with a second touch surface of a mobile computing device, wherein the identifying signal is generated by the mobile computing device; a communication interface configured to communicate with a gaming server; a processor configured to communicate with the communication interface and the first touch surface, and further configured to:
receive the identifying signal;in response to receiving the identifying signal, cause the communication interface to transmit an authentication request to the gaming server, wherein the authentication request includes identification information included in the identifying signal;receive an authentication signal through the communication interface, wherein the authentication signal is generated by the gaming server after authenticating the identification information included in the authentication request; andin response to receiving the authentication signal, enable player tracking with the mobile computing device.
