CURVED DISPLAY APPARATUS

A curved surface display device comprises: a display substrate; an opposed substrate; a liquid crystal layer; a pixel electrode; a common electrode; and a light blocking layer. The display substrate has a plurality of pixel regions and has a display region having the pixel regions and is bent in a first direction on the plane. The opposed substrate faces the display substrate and is coupled with the display substrate to be bent with the display substrate. A plurality of domains are defined in each pixel region, and the domains are arranged in a second direction intersecting with the first direction on the plane. Liquid crystal particles are oriented to one side of the display region due to an electric field in two domains sequentially arranged adjacent to the light blocking layer among the domains, and the liquid crystal particles are oriented to the other side of the display region due to the electric field in the other two domains, which faces the two domains and has the light blocking layer therebetween, among the domains.
