A method of reducing electromagnetic interference of a received signal, comprising: receiving a signal over at least two conductors, the at least two conductors defining one of a plurality of physical channels for an Ethernet transceiver circuit; extracting a common-mode signal from the at least two conductors; processing the common-mode signal; estimating a frequency of the electromagnetic interference to generate a cancellation signal by filtering the common-mode signal with an infinite impulse response (IIR) filter; notch filtering the receive signal, wherein a center frequency of the notch filter is based on the estimate of the frequency of the interference signal; and reducing the electromagnetic interference of the received signal by summing the cancellation signal with the received signal after notch filtering. | ||
