PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a master station device which does not generate a frame loss at a wavelength changeover.SOLUTION: The master station device, which constitutes a communications system together with one or more slave station devices capable of changing a reception wavelength, can simultaneously transmit a plurality of optical signals of different wavelengths. At the changeover of a downlink wavelength to be received by the slave station device, before the start of the downlink wavelength changeover at the slave station device, the master station device halts data transmission destined to the slave station device and starts buffering data destined to the slave station device. After the completion of the wavelength changeover at the slave station device, the master station device transmits the buffered data destined to the slave station device, using a new wavelength after the changeover. |
