PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spectroscopic analyzer and a spectroscopic analysis method which hardly make equipment complicated and allow measurement accuracy to be improved.SOLUTION: The spectroscopic analyzer includes: a wide band light source 1 which emits measurement light L; an optical sensor 7 which receives a sample emission beam Ls' emitted from a sample S due to incidence of a sample beam Ls on the sample S and a reference beam Lr to detect a sample light amount spectrum and a reference light amount spectrum; a sector mirror 2 which selects detection light to cause the optical sensor 7 to receive the detection light; and a light absorption arithmetic unit 8 which detects a first reference light amount spectrum and a second reference light amount spectrum before and after detection of the sample light amount spectrum and calculates an estimated light amount spectrum corresponding to an estimated light amount of the sample beam Ls which impinges on the sample S when the sample light amount spectrum is detected, from the first reference light amount spectrum and the second reference light amount spectrum and obtains an absorbance spectrum due to the sample S from the sample light amount spectrum and the estimated light amount spectrum.
