<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television set capable of adjusting an image quality in accordance with video signal contents (video content) sent from a signal conversion device such as a set-top box.SOLUTION: A channel analysis section 150 identifies a channel number of video content subjected to viewing by analyzing contents of a remote control signal RM corresponding to an infrared signal IR generated from an STB remote controller 300. An image quality adjustment parameter setting section 160 acquires attribute information of the video content subjected to viewing by referring to a table in which channel numbers and attribute information are made correspondent, while using the channel number as a key. Further, the image quality adjustment parameter setting section 160 sets an image quality adjustment parameter to be used for image quality adjustment processing by referring to a table in which the attribute information and setting contents for the image quality adjustment parameter are made correspondent, while using the attribute information of the video content subjected to viewing as a key.</p> |
