PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stimulation responsive gel material with which salinity concentration can be easily and stably detected in a wide concentration range.SOLUTION: A stimulation responsive gel material includes: a polymer material including a first monomer with a chemical structure represented by formula (1) and a second monomer with hydrophobicity higher than that of the first monomer as constituents; fine particles with an average particle diameter of 10 to 1,000 nm; and a solvent, and a wavelength of light reflected therefrom varies corresponding to concentration of a salt in contact therewith (in formula (1), R is a substituent including at least a carbon atom and a hydrogen atom, and when the number of carbon atoms in R is set to be n and the number of oxygen atoms in R is set to be m, n-m is an integer of 3 or more). |
