<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain guard in which anticorrosion of a stainless steel chain used in marine is carried out by a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A chain guard 1 comprises a substantial U-shaped stainless steel main body part 21 and an aluminum cylindrical stopper 23 arranged in a recess part 21a of the main body 21. The main body part 21 is made in such a way that substantial semi-circular curved parts 25, 25 are cooperatively arranged with linear segments 27, 28. An axial central part of one linear segment 27 is formed with the recess part 21a, and on the one linear segment 27, through-pass holes 35, 37 are formed along an axial direction at both sides holding the recess part 21a. Extremity ends 35a, 37a of each of the through-pass holes 35, 37 are applied as threaded holes. Under a state in which a link 4 at the end part of a chain body 2 is hooked from the recess part 21a of the main body part 21 to the curved parts 25, 25, the stopper 23 is fitted to the recess part 21a of the main body part 21 and a screw 45 is screwed from the through-pass holes 35, 37 to cause the stopper 23 to be fixed to the main body part 21.</p> |
