<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll for paper making machine in which wrinkle of paper can be efficiently extended and adhesive substance may hardly adhere to the paper.SOLUTION: A web wrinkle preventing roll 5 is divided at a central part 55 of the roll 5 to form a plurality of helical trough parts 53, 54 and helical crest parts 56, 57 in which their facing directions are inverse. Raised extremity ends of the helical trough parts 53, 54 are contacted with the diving line at the roll central part 55, they are equally spaced apart on the same circumference, the bottom surface shapes of the helical trough parts 53, 54 are formed by R-surfaces. End portions of the helical trough parts 53, 54 and end portions of the helical crest parts 56, 57 are continuous by R-surfaces or planer surfaces. Pitches of the helical trough parts 53, 54 are set to increase gradually toward roll both ends. The upper surfaces of the helical crest parts 56, 57 may be flat surface or R-surface. A width size of each of the helical trough parts 53, 54 is set constant and their pitches are increased by 1% for every rotation.</p> |
