PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate transfer recording medium excellent in handleability of a print object, capable of forming a high-density image on a transfer object which is an optional object; and to provide an image formation method using the intermediate transfer recording medium.SOLUTION: An intermediate transfer recording medium 1 comprises at least a substrate 2, and a transfer part 10 provided peelably on one surface of the substrate 2, and the transfer part 10 is formed by laminating at least a peeling layer 3, an intermediate layer 4 and a reception layer 5 in this order from the substrate 2 side. The intermediate layer 4 contains at least inorganic fine particles.
