PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To diagnose the life of an electrolytic capacitor in a short period of time.SOLUTION: An electrolytic capacitor life diagnosis method according to an embodiment includes: an acceleration test step S10 of measuring a weight and a characteristic parameter while continuing a state where a predetermined voltage is applied to each of a plurality of acceleration test electrolytic capacitors; a database making step S32 of storing a relationship of the characteristic parameter with respect to the weight into a database on the basis of change over time of the weight and of the characteristic parameter obtained in the acceleration test step S10; and a life estimation step S42 of estimating the life of an evaluation target electrolytic capacitor on the basis of the weight and data stored in the database. In the acceleration test, an electrolytic capacitor with dispersion acceleration holes including dispersion acceleration holes piercing a casing of the acceleration test electrolytic capacitor is used, and an area of the dispersion acceleration holes is an area in proportion to a surface area of the acceleration test electrolytic capacitor. |
