PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make compatible the light operability of a shift lever between a D-position and a B-position, and anti-erroneous operation performance while achieving vehicle deceleration according to a required level of a driver, in a vehicle in which the B-position for selecting a brake mode as an operation position of the shift lever is arranged.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device performs required deceleration level determination control for determining that a required deceleration level is high as the number of times of operations of a shift lever from D to B is large, and deceleration control for controlling a deceleration device so as to obtain large vehicle deceleration as the level is high. The vehicle control device controls a wheel brake device as a reduction device so as to obtain first prescribed vehicle deceleration at a level 1, also controls the reduction device so as to obtain vehicle deceleration which is obtained by adding a second prescribed amount to the first prescribed amount at a level 2, and sets the first prescribed amount smaller than the second prescribed amount. |
