<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a decrease in luminance, while correcting disclination.SOLUTION: A display device includes: a motion detection circuit 103 for detecting a motion amount in an input signal; a defective orientation suppression circuit 105 for narrowing a range from the minimum value to the maximum value of the input signal; and a panel drive circuit 106 for driving a liquid crystal panel according to the input signal outputted from the defective orientation suppression circuit. A range of the input signal narrowed by the defective orientation suppression circuit when the motion detection circuit detects a second motion amount is larger than the range of the input signal narrowed by the defective orientation suppression circuit when the motion detection circuit detects the first motion amount.</p> |
