<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing apparatus configured to reliably prevent noise and damage due to inclination of a bearing with a simple configuration, and an image forming apparatus having the fixing apparatus.SOLUTION: A fixing apparatus 16 includes a heating roller 16A. A support shaft thereof is supported by a side frame. A ball bearing 70 is arranged between the support shaft and the side frame. The ball bearing 70 is formed of an inner race 74, an outer race 75, and balls 80. The outer race 75 is fixed to an outer peripheral edge of a shaft hole of the side frame. The inner race 74 is fixed to the support shaft. The support shaft includes coil springs 81, 91 for biasing the inner race 74 axially inward, in order to prevent external displacement of the inner race 74.</p> |
