<p>The method for clarifying a foam collected in a foam collecting chamber (6) of a skimmer (2), where the foam is discharged from the foam collecting chamber of the skimmer in the form of a foam water by rinsing out the foam collecting chamber with water, comprises collecting the foam water in a condensation container (12) in which a part of the foam is condensed and then in a sedimentation container (18), precipitating organic substances from the foam water by adding a dosing agent, and discharging the purified water from the sedimentation container. The method for clarifying a foam collected in a foam collecting chamber (6) of a skimmer (2), where the foam is discharged from the foam collecting chamber of the skimmer in the form of a foam water by rinsing out the foam collecting chamber with water, comprises collecting the foam water in a condensation container (12) in which a part of the foam is condensed and then in a sedimentation container (18), precipitating organic substances from the foam water by adding a dosing agent, and discharging the purified water from the sedimentation container. The foam water from the condensation container is used for rinsing out the foam collecting chamber. The dosing agent is deeply mixed with the foam water in the sedimentation container, and is lime water or sodium hydroxide solution. The addition of the dosing agent is controlled in dependent of volumetric basis or pH-value. An independent claim is included for a device for clarifying a foam collected in a foam collecting chamber of a skimmer.</p> |
