PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contribute to securing of deployment performance of an air bag which is inflated and deployed in synchronization with lifting up of a hood.SOLUTION: A pedestrian protection device for vehicle 10 is configured so that a hood skeleton part 15 forming a skeleton of a hood 14 includes a rear side skeleton part 15A which connects left and right rear end lifting up parts 14R which are lifted up by a rear lifting up device 34, in a vehicle width direction. Therefore, during lifting up of the hood 14, the rear side skeleton part 15A can prevent or suppress bending and deformation of the hood 14 between the left and right rear end lifting up parts 14R. As the result, a gap between a rear end of the hood 14 and a windshield glass can be prevented or suppressed from being reduced inadvertently by the bending and deformation. Therefore, it is possible to hasten a deployment speed of an air bag 96 and stabilize the deployment behavior of the air bag 96. |
