<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can suppress, even upon the occurrence of sub-scanning streaks in output images, a deterioration in quality of the output images due to the sub-scanning streaks without performing cleaning or replacement of units or the like.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an operation display unit that receives operations from a user; a screen processing unit 26 that executes screen processing to a first image to create a second image; an image forming unit 5 that performs image formation on a recording sheet on the basis of the second image created by the screen processing unit 26; a streak detection unit 30 that detects sub-scanning streaks on the basis of a third image created by a reading unit (output image reading unit 13) reading the recording sheet on which the image formation is performed by the image forming unit 5; and a screen changing unit 32 that changes the content of the screen processing to an area corresponding to the sub-scanning streaks detected by the streak detection unit 30.</p> |
